Many residents in Mackworth are opposing the new housing development

Mackworth and Morley Lib Dem campaigner, Simon Lysaczenko, is calling on local people who object to the plans to build 600 new homes off Radbourne Lane to write with their objections. Amber Valley Borough Council is proposing to change its local plan to earmark fields off Radbourne Lane for new homes.

Simon Lysaczenko said; "My phone hasn't stopped ringing with local residents asking how they can object to these plans. People are really concerned that the area is crowded enough already."

People who are opposed to the plans should write to Derek Stafford, Amber Valley Borough Council, PO BOX 18, Town Hall, Ripley, Derbyshire, DE5 3SZ. They have until November the 4th to do so.
